Shea Weber Arb

A shorty.

Couple of things. We like how the US government, the executive and the legislature, were able to overcome the partisans in their parties and get the GOP to roll over, err, compromise and pass a deal to enlarge the debt ceiling, but Nashville and Shea Weber are not able to negotiate in good faith even a minimum length deal.

But, oh yeah, Shea loves playing in Nashville blah blah.

We will see. Our five thoughts on the matter are:
  1. It's
  2. About
  3. The
  4. Money
  5. Fool
Which, hey, is sweet for the Calgary Flames, because they have money! Now if only we can find a team to move JBlow to for the 2012-2013 season, or whenever we get Weber and Suter, we will be all set. Ken King may even be gone by then, so the team might actually have a decent shot of winning! And in a shiny new building too (taxpayer funded, of course. Murray Edwards does business with the Red Chinese, you think he is going to spend any of his own capital?)!

Speaking of defensemen...Is Edmonton going to get any, or are they that confident they can score 600 goals this year?

Actually, check this out. While it may be the most murderous city in the province, the depth chart feature is pretty cool. Even has LD and RD identified, which is nice. Why don't the Flames have this little feature on their website? Because Glencross's dad will freak out when he sees his boy isn't in the top six, duh.

(Which brings up Hagman. Really, Calgary Flames, Hagman? And you want to make the playoffs? Ok then...)

Seriously though, the team was going to offer Brad Richards north of $65 million? You better get Weber and Suter done, no? Team has the money, obviously, and Ken King has a need not to get the STH's mad, which would cost him his job.

What, you thought winning mattered to King and Edwards? As it pertains to Edwards allowing King to keep playing with the Flames, there are five schools of thought on the matter:
  1. It's
  2. About
  3. The
  4. Money
  5. Fool
Furthermore, I think Peter Loubardias Ken King should be fired.
